Welcome To Our Family Farm
We are a sustainable family farm business, ownedfamily1.JPG by Chip Hope and Julie Laramie, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We grow and sell an eclectic selection of plants, produce, and seeds .
We have expanded our greenhouse and nursery operations to beautiful new facilities in Morganton, NC. That is where we will be growing most of our plants from now on. We will be selling retail and wholesale bedding plants, edible landscape plants, and organic supplies from there.

tomato-plants-to-ship.jpg We have been growing many heirloom varieties since 1998. Our specialty has always been heirloom tomato seeds and heirloom tomato plants. (see list of tomatoes we grow on the family farm, with pictures and descriptions) Our work with heirloom tomatoes has been featured in Southern Living magazine (May 1999, Timeless Tomatoes), Back Home magazine (Mar/Apr 2002, Grow "Real" Tomatoes) and Blue Ridge Country magazine (July 2004, Meet Mr. Tomato) among others.

Today we offer many unique and unusual open-pollinated, annual and perennial flowers, culinary and medicinal herbs, and gourmet vegetables (see availability list with descriptions). In addition we are now growing a diverse selection of edible landscape plants in 1 and 3 gal containers for fall sales.
field-trip-2.jpgMarketing is through direct sales at the new greenhouse and nursery in Morganton, NC, regional garden centers, along with mail order heirloom tomato seeds and mail order heirloom tomato plants. See bedding plants and tomatoes. We are also at the NC Herb Festival, the first weekend in May each year, at the WNC Farmers Market in Asheville, NC
